Other than giving you the issues listed on the screen, Time in Status file exports have been giving you the average values for a long time. Some customers find it inconvenient that the averages are available only through file exports and have been asking for an on-screen average report for some time.

Now we introduce Average reports through the UI.


When you open Time in Status and select a report type, let's say "Status Duration", you will see a new button next to it that shows List. That means the data you see on the screen is a list report. Click on this button you will discover that you also have the Average option. Selecting this option triggers a new calculation which will display the average of the values you see in your list report.




You can have the averages as an overall average value or using the List/Average button you can select one or more issue fields with which the issues will be grouped by. Using this selection you can get averages grouped by Project, Issue Type, Request Type, assignee, component, etc ... any issue field or combination of issue fields you need.



Average reports are available for all duration reports and count reports. Date reports are excluded of course since it does not make sense for them.
