It might be a little hard to digest a report just by looking at the numbers on the table. Timepiece offers charts for data visualization and databars to compare values directly on the result table. Even so, immediately pinpointing the values that need attention would be nice. The new Highlight Cells feature of Timepiece will help you identify values of interest immediately.
What is the Highlight Cells feature?
The new highlight feature, helps users by the configuration of rules to paint a row or a cell to a predefined color so important values will attract attention.
How to Highlight Cells?
While using the highlight feature, you can define multiple rules. Each rule sets a color and a threshold for cells of one or more columns. You can:
- Configure multiple rules for different columns.
- Configure different colors for different tresholds.
- Paint the whole row or just a cell.
- You can even paint the row with a rule and paint a single cell on that row with another rule. Quite flexible.

After you set your rules, the report results will highlight cells accordingly.

You can get more details about this feature from its documentation page.
Is it Live?
The Highlight Cells option is available now on Timepiece for Jira Cloud.
For Jira Data Center, this feature is coming soon (TBA). Stay tuned for updates!
