We designed an app from scratch so that the client experience would be optimized to the fullest, with products exclusive to the mobile app.
Buying and selling investments was quick and easy, including trading foreign currency, gold, funds, and stocks. Contactless payment was also optimized by using QR codes and NFC technology. With QR codes, users were able to securely transfer money, withdraw or make deposits at an ATM, and much more.
Furthermore, with the new app, client acquisition process accelerated by allowing virtual applications. Previously, only in person applications were being processed. However, with the CEPTETEB app users now can become a client within minutes by simply downloading it. After providing their personal information, users could take a photo for identity purposes from different angles using the camera on their phone, read the chip in their ID with the help of NFC technology, and easily become a customer after a short online call over ConnectTEB to do a final round of security checks.
Virtual application capability provided an additional 250-300 daily new TEB clients. To put things in perspective, TEB’s remote client acquisition market share for retail clients in Turkey reached a high of 8.7%. Summing up, with CEPTETEB, majority of the banking task can now be processed through mobile devices as a self-service application.
